Procedure of Application

How to Apply for Affiliation

Any school run by an individual, an association of individuals, a registered trust, a society or a registered firm may apply for affiliation.

The application is made in the prescribed form to the Registrar, Chandigarh Chhaya School of Art, and must be submitted together with the affiliation fee.

Who may apply — individuals, associations, registered trusts, societies and registered firms running a school or cultural institution.
Where to apply — to the Registrar, CSA, in the prescribed application form.
What to enclose — the prescribed affiliation fee along with the completed form.
Who grants it — affiliation is granted by the Registrar, CSA, Chandigarh, on receipt of the fee and on fulfilment of the other conditions of affiliation.

Step by Step

How a Centre Is Granted Affiliation

Our affiliation procedure is held entirely in online mode. This is the route every applicant institution follows, from first enquiry to the hard copy in hand.

STEP 01

Submit the prescribed application

Apply in the prescribed form to the Registrar, Chandigarh Chhaya School of Art, enclosing the affiliation fee.

STEP 02

Board inspection

Before affiliation is granted, the board inspects the applicant institution through a team working under the direct supervision of the board.

STEP 03

Grant by the Registrar

On receipt of the prescribed fee and on fulfilment of the other conditions, the Registrar, CSA, Chandigarh grants the affiliation.

STEP 04

Soft copy on WhatsApp

After your documents are received, the board sends the soft copy of the affiliation to the centre's WhatsApp number.

STEP 05

Hard copy dispatched

Once the centre holder confirms the soft copy, the board dispatches the affiliation hard copy.

Minimum 30 students

To grant affiliation or fix an examination centre, the institution must have a student strength of at least thirty students for all the examinations taken together.

10 km exclusivity

There must be no other cultural institution affiliated to the Kendra within a 10 km radius of the applicant institution.

Examination centre — minimum 15

No examination centre shall be allotted in a case where the student strength is less than fifteen.

Eligibility

Who Can Apply for Centre Registration

Any cultural institution — whether or not registered under the Societies Registration Act or any other relevant law — that imparts training in the specialised fields below may apply to Chandigarh Chhaya School of Art for the grant of an affiliated study or examination centre, upon fulfilment and compliance with the rules framed thereunder.

Indian Classical Music

Vocal and instrumental training in the classical tradition.

Classical Dances

Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Manipuri and allied classical forms.

Fine Arts (Painting)

Drawing, painting and the traditional schools of Indian art.

Yoga

Classical asana, pranayama, kriya and yoga philosophy.

Rules & Conditions

Rules for Getting Affiliation

Please read every condition carefully before applying. Submitting an application is taken as acceptance of all of the following.

Any cultural institution, whether registered or not registered under the Societies Registration Act or any other relevant law, imparting training in the specialised fields of Indian Classical Music, Classical Dances, Fine Arts (Painting) and Yoga, can apply for affiliation to the Chandigarh Chhaya School of Art for the grant of an affiliated study or examination centre, upon fulfilment and compliance with the rules framed thereunder.

There must be no other cultural institution affiliated to the Kendra within a 10 km radius of our institution.

Before granting affiliation, the board also inspects the applicant institution through a team working under the direct supervision of the board.

To grant affiliation or to fix an examination centre, the institution concerned is required to have a student strength of at least thirty students for all the examinations taken together. No examination centre shall be allotted in case the student strength is less than fifteen.

CSA has every right to affiliate any institution imparting education and training in the field of Music, Dance and Fine Arts (Painting). The Registrar also has the power either to refuse or to dis-affiliate any institution, without giving any notice or assigning any reason to the institution concerned.

After confirmation of the affiliation, CSA can withdraw the same and cancel the registration after issuing a show cause notice, in a case where the centre is found to be indulging in malpractices or unfair means, or conducting examinations in violation of the Rules and Regulations (Examinations) of the board.

Our affiliation procedure is held totally in online mode. After receiving your documents, the board sends the soft copy of the affiliation to the centre's WhatsApp; and thereafter, on receiving confirmation from the centre holder, the board sends the affiliation hard copy.
